Lincoln-based three-piece The Rills have returned with a phenomenal new single in the form of ‘Spit Me Out’. It’s a playful banger that ramps up their crunchy indie rock sound with punchy electric guitar explosions and verses driven by almost aggressively pushing bass lines. As always, their vocal lines are almost instantly stuck in your head. “It’s a playful song about love & lust,” the band explain. “It’s got an air of sexy about it, but in an insecure way. It does have a clear story in my mind, but sometimes it’s better to leave things up to the imagination.” Their EP, Do It Differently, was released in May and their gearing up for a European and UK tour this Autumn. -Dan Peeke
